Intro to Double-Knitting
by Alasdair Post-Quinn
Last year, I ran this workshop twice. I'm going to try to do it again -- bringing some crazy technology from work to help teach a larger group than usual how to double-knit. Double-knitting is a technique by which a hand-knitter can create a fabric with two layers and no wrong side. I specialize in pushing the boundaries of double-knitting as it relates to colorwork, and will be publishing a book later this year entitled "Extreme Double-Knitting: New Adventures in Reversible Colorwork" on Cooperative Press.
Bring: 2 colors of well-contrasting plain worsted or DK-weight yarn and either a circular or a pair of straight needles in the proper size.
