I am going to go over how to start a toe up sock, both with two circulars needles and double point needles. I will also demo the figure eight cast on.
Supplies: either double point needles or two circulars, and worsted weight yarn for anyone who wants to do hands on, though, not much time in 30 minutes... At least a toe can get started, I think the figure eight cast on is a hands on sort of thing.
I am planning on bringing hand outs, not sure how many, I was thinking ten?
I am available Friday or Saturday, but not Sunday..

Oooh I definitely want to attend this! Saturday would be best for me since I can't make it Friday night.

Is there anything specific you want to know? I have been knitting toe up socks for years now, and have come across most situations.

Mostly I just want to learn how to do it. I've never done toe up and I want to try it.

I'd like to attend this session. Casting on and how knitting the heel differs from toe-down socks are what I'm most interested in.

Yes, I was going briefly get into the differences in heels, and how some are not different.

I just finished my first pair of toe up socks (I've been a top down, heel flap kind of sock knitter to date). I'd love to hear about people's experiences with the short row heels and sock longevity!

I haven't had issues with either short row or heel flap type toe-up socks

I have a pair of toe up socks going on a long circular needle right now. I've just gotten to the second semi-short row heel flap. I can bring them as an example.

Sure thing! I have a couple pairs I am bringing as samples, both short row and reverse heel flap, i.e. the heel flap last instead of first like a top down.
