Full Description:
This will be a hands-on teaching session to give the basics of crochet. We will cover making a beginning chain, single crochet, double crochet, and half-double crochet. If we have time, we may look at fan stitches and other fancy stitches. There will be a limit of 10 people unless someone else wants to help run the session with me, then we could accomodate more people.
Skills Needed:
No previous knowledge of crochet is expected.
Materials Needed:
Bring a crochet hook (size F or G would be good) and some yarn to play with. I will bring as many hooks as I can find. As with knitting, smaller hooks go with lighter yarn and larger with heavier. If you have an F or G hook, a DK weight yarn or a light worsted would work.

I'm interested, I've tried before, but haven't gotten further than a lumpy chain.

I have been wanting to learn some basic crochet--mostly to do market bags! I will be there with a crochet hook that I currently use for picking up stitches.

I'm not an absolute beginner but I could use a refresher course, I do a lot of faking it when I try to crochet. The Granny Squares a caaaallllling.

Can't crochet worth a crap. Hoping this session will help me remedy that.
