Photographing Your FOs

Page history last edited by gale zucker 13 years, 1 month ago

Techniques & tricks for making your FO's- whether they are fiber, knits, yarn, or crocheted pieces - look fabulous.

An interactive class to learn how to photograph your finished knits (or crochet or weavings..whatever) on real people models, and off.  Part demonstration/talk and part hands on, you'll learn how to capture the feel of fiber, visually. We'll consider the background, the people,  how to deal with the light, and how to make your projects sing online, on  your blog/Ravelry page.

Digital SLRs and point & shoot cameras both welcome but you MUST know how to use the settings on your camera.  If in doubt, review your manual & bring it along, too.

Bring your camera and some  finished objects to practice on.  Remember, if you want to make great images,  it's not the camera, it's what you do with it!

* I'll only be at Fiber Camp on Saturday, so this session will need to be that day. The room with the most available light is my request.

I definitely want to do this. I'm so tired of posting photos on Ravelry with a comment that says "Will post a better photo later" or "Well, it doesn't really look like this but..."
