Social Media and Fiber Fun

Page history last edited by Alasdair Post-Quinn 10 years, 8 months ago

(30 minutes) Come talk about how ravelry, facebook,, twitter, podcasts, and blogs are changing the way we build our knitting circles. Whitney Hoffman of the LDPodcast will join in with us by skype.

So in case you haven't noticed, the internet is becoming a great place to share your ideas and thoughts as well as meet friends from all over the world. This panel will discuss how the panelists got involved with online communities and what it means to them. Whitney and Guido have both been working on un-conferences and participating in the online communities for the past five years and have a lot that they can share.

This should also be a good place to ask questions about what social media means, what the big deal is, and what can be done with social media and fiber communities.

Please let me (Guido) know if you would also like to be on the panel.

this looks cool! So much has changed in the past twenty years in the knitting-world. Sort of a follow-up discussion to Friday nite's Fiber Guild meeting talk?

If it's on Saturday, I'll be there.
I didn't know guild was a verb?

Never mind comment above. I read "build" as "guild". I think guild would make a cool verb. though.

I'd be willing to be on this panel if you're still looking for people.
