What is an "unconference"

Page history last edited by Christopher Haddad 11 years, 8 months ago

For starters - read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconference

Now that that's out of the way, you may have noticed that many of the unconferences mentioned on Wikipedia are related in some fashion to technology in general and the web in specific.

We feel that the concept of an unconference (literally the "if you build it, they will come" of gatherings) can apply to any discipline. And since we're all rabid fiberistas, we figured we'd start with what is currently insulating all of our houses - fiber. Wool, fleece, yarn - whatever you use.

FiberCamp is not Stitches. It is not TKGA or TNNA. It is not Spa.

Yes, we plan on having vendors. And yes, we plan on having loads of cool people.
