  1. I would love a session about knitting dictionary [guido stein]
  2. I would like a session on selling your goods online, comparing the different services [guido stein]
  3. I would like a session on the various aspects of The Sock.  Specifically the various ways of creating the heel, their names (flap, short row, etc). [amy blake-baldwin]
  4. I would like the above mentioned beginners class on drop spindle spinning and what the differences are between all the kinds of drop spindles.  [Rachel Gogan]

  7. I would like to see someone coordinate a stash swap!
  8. I would like a session on the classic crochet granny square (& variations). On Saturday plz!
  9. I would like a session where attendees swap small amounts of labeled yarn- maybe 40-50 yards- as  a tasting,  or for piecework projects.
  10. I would like a demonstration of steeking - it scares me.[Kathleen Sweeney]

I'm feeling a little guilty about signing up for this without volunteering to teach. At the same time I don't really feel that confident in my abilities. On that proverbial third hand, I probably could cobble together at least an introduction to the sock and options for construction, as requested above. Or I could more confidently do an intro to lace knitting, but that hasn't been requested. Or I could lie low and see what happens that weekend? Advice?

I would like a session on steeking. If someone could bring in a sample and actually show doing this, that would be great.

I don't see anything here being offered on lace. I could do a "Lacy Isn't Scary: Intro to Lace" workshop (75 min.) Lace isn't scary, but the idea of leading a workshop is! But I'm willing to give it a try if anyone is interested. Just don't schedule me too early in the day, please.

Yarn tasting sounds like fun! I'm in, schedule permitting.

How about an informal "Do you knit funny?!" show-n-tell session? I'm usually a mirrored combination continental knitter, with a sideline in quasi-Norwegian and Portugese purling. I'd love a chance to see how others who "knit funny" do it. I'd also like to hear tips on how to knit more quickly, with less strain.

Rachel, I am just a beginning lace knitter but have made a lot of progress quickly. If no-one else takes you up on this, let's sit together at some point and I'll get you started. It's not as scary as it seems. Susan

Betsy: I don't see your lace intro on the list. Are you serious about wanting to do it? Otherwise I would be willing to teach or co-teach with you what I call "no-fear" lace. I'll send you a private email...

Rachel, see me and I can give you my tips for guaranteed lace success. :)

I would like to do a lace workshop as well, on what I call Brainless Lace-simple, though not necessarily beginner, repetitive designs that are relaxing to knit, and don't require looking (much) or counting once you've established the pattern. I mentioned they are not necessarily beginner since some require wrapping, multiple-row dropped sts, and a few other techniques that are not 100% comfortable for all beginner knitters, but the common thread is that all are perfect for take-along projects, or stuff to do while your brain is busy with one thing.
Perhaps we should combine efforts?

I'd also be glad to do log cabin knitting-simple and addictive and a great way to use up scraps.
