We'll go through the basics of fit; how to determine what actual measurements the pattern will yield; and how to modify the pattern to ensure your best fit.
Will also include the theory behind bust-darts and some practical mechanics of how to add them at an existing pattern.
If there's time, we can also measure each other!
Must know how to knit and have a desire to knit garments. Also helpful to know rudimentary math (particularly, algebra), but not necessarily required.
Bring a notepad and writing implement - you'll want to take notes, as I won't have handouts! Also, if you want to be measured, bring a measuring-tape.
If you want to, feel free to bring in a garment or two you've already knit, about which you're unsatisfied with the fit. Also, if you have a pattern in mind but you're unsure it will fit or be flattering, bring it in and we can troubleshoot it together.
